A Introduction
The Young Cultural APE programme
The Young Cultural APE programme is een initiatief van de Barce foundation en de Secretarie van Onderwijs van de deelstaat Sao Paulo (Brazilië).
Het doel
Het bewerkstelligen van een Braziliaans-Nederlandse culturele uitwisseling tussen studenten. Met deze uitwisseling willen wij een internationale platform starten op het gebied van kunst en tegelijkertijd een bewustwording creëren van de elkaars culturen en manier van denken.
De opzet
Door het inzetten van diverse Sociale Media kunnen we creativiteit en kennis uitwisselen tussen beide landen. Via een blog voor de docenten (www.apeprogramme.blogspot.com) wordt er een cultureel thema behandeld waarna de docenten in beide landen hierover kunnen brainstormen met als einddoel een concept op te zetten voor een selecte groep studenten om (kunst)werkstukken te gaan maken. Dit kan een beeldende opdracht zijn maar ook multimediale werken, zoals fotografie, films, collages of mashups zijn mogelijk.
De studenten
De studenten kunnen vervolgens onderling via Facebook & Twitter (www.facebook.young.ape, www.youtube.com/user/apeprogramme en www.twitter.com/youngape) aan de slag om kennis te maken en ideeën uit te wisselen. De werkstukken van de leerlingen worden allemaal op Facebook gepubliceerd. Deze Facebook pagina (www.facebook.com/youngape) is alleen bedoeld voor eigen studenten en is in eerste instantie niet openbaar. Als alle werkstukken zijn ingeleverd is het mogelijk om op elkaars werk te reageren. Het zou leuk zijn dat bijvoorbeeld Brazilie het beste Nederlandse werkstuk kiest en visa versa. Als het project is afgerond kan de Facebook pagina ook opengezet worden voor iedereen om het project te bekijken en weer nieuwe ideeën op te doen.

Objective
A cultural exchange program between Brazilian and Dutch students. With this exchange we would like to start an International platform to create awareness of each other’s cultures and ways of thinking.
The programme set up
By using Social Media we can share creativity and knowledge between both countries. We will create a cultural topic on our Blog (www.apeprogramme.blogspot.com) for the teachers to discus and set up an Art concept for a select number of students. The art works can be drawings or paintings or multimedia (photography, film, collage or mash ups).
The Students
The students can use our special Facebook page, YouTube and Twitter account (www.facebook.young.ape, www.youtube.com/user/apeprogramme en www.twitter.com/youngape) to exchange knowledge, ideas and creativity. The artworks will be published on Facebook and be only be accessible for the selected students participating in the APE programme. The students can comment on each other artworks and each country selects a winner. Once the programme is finished Facebook will be opened to friends and family to view the programme and the works of art. This way people can come up with even better ideas...

In dit manifest laten de makers zien hoe essentieel het voor kunstenaars en wetenschappers is om elkaars kennis te kunnen gebruiken en elkaar te kunnen inspireren. Software en muziek worden over de hele wereld via internet ontwikkeld, gedeeld en gebruikt buiten de grote corporaties om. Hun financiële belangen staan inmiddels recht tegenover de belangen van individuen. De makers luiden de noodklok om artistieke en wetenschappelijke vrijheid voor de toekomst te garanderen.
